Microsoft AR technology could make Batman’s complex crime-fighting headpiece a reality.
Ok so the past couple of movies to feature everyone’s favourite bat-themed vigilante superhero have not just blown critics or audiences off. But there’s no denying that this Dark Knight is among the iterations we’ve seen.
This is due in large part to “Batffleck’s” insanely cool AR-enabled cowl including facial recognition software, GPS performance, voice recognition and various other innovative crime-solving applications. The mask has become the most identifiable bit of Batman’s current ensemble, as it illuminates criminals hiding in the 28, shining in the darkness. It is the ideal parallel to this planet we now find ourselves wholeheartedly.
a unique group of students enrolled at Full Sail University are trying to bring that same innovative technology to life by making their own version of the autonomous helmet. Developed as part of the ongoing Hacker Labs YouTube challenge series of Full Sail, the group began by separating into two teams devoted to fabrication and user interface.
The UI squad experienced the immense responsibility of coding the actual AR interface and integration programs like real time weather updates, an easily accessible unlawful database, facial recognition, language control and even audio/video monitoring and recording for polygraph purposes.
They will also be integrating Microsoft tech like Cortana, Visual Studios and more. The fabrication group on the other hand was tasked when preserving that design with efficiently fitting that technology.
The challenge is just two episodes deep, but already significant progress could be seen. The crew does have some experience after all. However, the cowl’s compact size has turned out to be a little more complicated in comparison to the Iron Man helmet that was spacious.
For a look a ultimate final product certainly help keep the eyes peeled for more episodes through the official .
